At Pure Origin Coffee, we pride ourselves on making a cup of coffee that is sustainable, as well as tasty. However, you may still be wondering specifically what makes Pure Origin sustainable, as opposed to other brands. The biggest reasons are the fact that all of our coffee is sustainable impact, single origin, and benefits causes in the often impoverished coffee-producing regions of the world.

Pure Origin coffee is single origin coffee

Additionally, Pure Origin is proud to source single-origin coffees. This means that all six of our varieties come from sets of growers working together in single geographical regions. This is a big change from the traditional, big-name coffee brands and blends. Larger companies may bring you a blend of coffee created from farms across an entire continent, or even across several! This smaller-scale (but more ethical facing) brand has a closer relationship with our growers. Because of that, we can tell you with certainty where your coffee is coming from and how it was produced.

We care for our growers, and want to help them with problems and issues they may encounter in the field or in their day-to-day lives. This can include water contamination or access to cervical cancer screening and treatment, among other initiatives. In the Congo, we work with Mighty Peace Coffee, a movement seeking to end mineral conflict and brutality throughout the coffee-producing country. We trade with small family farms in Honduras as they attempt to make a name for themselves in the competitive coffee industry. In Indonesia, we partner with Item Reje Gayo, a center that provides education and training on coffee cultivation techniques.
